Why buy ex-rental
Dayim Equipment Rentals operates one of the largest access and power equipment fleets in Saudi Arabia, supporting construction, oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial maintenance and infrastructure projects across the Kingdom. As we renew the fleet, machines are released for sale through our own used equipment marketplace, so buyers deal with the original owner rather than a trader or an intermediary.
That matters when you are buying used aerial work platforms. Every machine we list has been operated under one owner, serviced by our own workshops in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah, and recorded in our maintenance system. We can tell you the hour meter reading, the known faults, the estimated repair scope and where the machine is standing today.
Stock ranges from fully operational, work-ready machines to units sold as-is for parts recovery — and we label the condition of every one honestly so contractors, rental companies, workshops and equipment traders can bid on the right units for their business.
What buyers search for:
Purchased new by Dayim, maintained in our own workshops with genuine manufacturer parts, and never sub-rented to unknown fleets.
Book a yard visit where the unit is standing — currently Dammam, Riyadh, North West, Qatar, Jeddah — and inspect the machine, the hour meter and the service file in person.
Every listing states plainly whether a machine is work-ready or sold for parts recovery, with known faults and an estimated repair scope shared up front.
Invoice, release note and transfer documentation, plus loading and transport quotations for delivery anywhere in KSA or export across the GCC.

How buying works
No auction fees, no bidding wars against unknown reserves — a direct negotiation with the company that has owned and maintained the machine since it was new.
Filter the live list above by equipment type, then open the listing on our marketplace or send us the unit reference. Tell us if you need a single scissor lift or a package of thirty.
We share the hour meter reading, identified issues, estimated repair scope and available photographs, so you can price the machine and the rectification work accurately.
Visit the yard, inspect the unit and test what can be tested. Prices are quoted per unit or as a package discount for bulk buyers, traders and rental companies.
Settle by bank transfer against our invoice, receive the release note and transfer paperwork, then collect with your own transport or ask us to quote delivery or port loading.
Rental companies topping up fleets with proven JLG and Genie platforms at a fraction of new-unit cost. Main and subcontractors who would rather own a scissor lift than pay monthly hire on a long project. Equipment traders and exporters buying in volume for the GCC, Africa and South Asia. Workshops and parts specialists recovering booms, chassis, hydraulic components, engines, control boxes and platform assemblies from stripped units.
Whatever the use case, the commercial logic is the same: a well-maintained, documented ex-rental boom lift with a documented history is a lower-risk purchase than an unknown import, and it is already in the Kingdom — no shipping delay, no customs clearance, no surprise on arrival.
All units are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty unless separately agreed in writing. Model years currently on the marketplace run from 2011 to 2016, and hours and condition vary from unit to unit, so read each listing carefully. Machines offered for parts or requiring repair are not roadworthy or work-ready and should be priced as rebuild or parts projects.
Third-party inspection is welcome. If you want a machine load-tested, certified or repainted before collection, our workshops can quote that work separately. We can also advise on operator and IPAF-style training if your team is new to powered access.
Buying channels compared
Most used heavy equipment in Saudi Arabia changes hands through one of three routes. Each has a place — here is an honest view of how they differ so you can decide where to buy your next machine.
| What matters | Direct from the fleet owner (Dayim) | Auction houses | Online classifieds & brokers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machine history | Single owner from new, in-house service records, known hour meter | Mixed consignors, history often unavailable | Depends entirely on the seller |
| Condition disclosure | Graded, with identified issues and estimated repair scope | Inspection reports vary by lot | Photographs only, in most cases |
| Price discovery | Negotiated per unit or as a package | Competitive bidding, plus buyer premium and fees | Asking price, negotiated with a broker |
| Where the machine is | Standing in our KSA yards, ready to inspect | Often at a remote sale site or overseas | Frequently still abroad, awaiting shipment |
| Buying in volume | Package deals across yards and categories | Lot by lot | Rarely possible from one seller |
| After the sale | Same-country support, parts advice, workshop rectification and training available | None, once the hammer falls | Limited |
Second-hand values in the Kingdom are driven by four things: model year, hour meter reading, condition grade and how much of the machine is still original. A running 2015 electric scissor lift with a clean service file sits at the top of the range; the same model stripped for parts is priced as component and scrap value. Rough terrain scissor lifts and large telescopic booms hold value best because supply into KSA is limited and demand from mega-project subcontractors is strong.
We quote per unit rather than publishing a fixed price list, because a package of twenty parts units and a single work-ready 800AJ are completely different transactions. Send us your shortlist and we will come back with a written offer, including transport if you need it.
Buying is not always the right answer. If your requirement is short term, seasonal or tied to a single shutdown, hiring the same machine is usually cheaper and comes with service, breakdown cover and certification included. Dayim runs a modern rental fleet across the Kingdom covering aerial work platforms, power generation, air compressors and material handling.
A useful rule of thumb: if the machine will be working more than eight to twelve months continuously, ownership starts to make sense — especially at ex-rental prices. Our team can model both options for your project.
